Introduced to rugby league in primary school, Samuel initially began at Chapeltown Cougars, but progressed to East Leeds where he played part in the winning of various leagues and competitions. Following on from East Leeds he joined the Wakefield Trinity Pathways team, followed by a scholarship which has now lead to him signing for Wakefield Trinity's First Team!
